Natural Loofah

These 2cm deep Natural Loofah are a great tool for gentle yet firm exfoliation tool. Loofah is completely biodegradeable and home compostable making it an ecoconscious choice compared to plastic sponges.

Loofah is a fibrous plant seed pod. The luffa plant is a cucurbit, (which is the same plant family as gourds, pumpkins, cucumbers and courgettes. It grows as a flowering annual vine. The pollinated flowers grow cylindrical green fruits that eventually develop into a seed pod filled with many intertwined cellulose fibers. Once matured the loofah has a firm enough texture to be used on hard surfaces.

For best results rinse and dry yourloofah between use. Use the cotton string attached to hang to dry. I recommend adding them into your towel wash regularly, as with all self care items, to keep clean and hygenic. 

Some individual use loofah to clean hard surfaces in their bathroom, kitchen ware and for the very creative (like my eldest daughter!) its a great to print acrylic paints with!
